Conditions of participation for the Continental Virtual Cycle Challenge as part of the 3RIDES E-Cycling Races

1. scope of application

These conditions of participation apply to all competitions organized by 3RIDES GmbH, Niederwall 53, 33602 Bielefeld, Germany (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer"). By participating, each participant accepts these conditions of participation.

This competition is not affiliated with Instagram. It is in no way sponsored, endorsed or organized by Instagram and does not create any legal claims against Instagram. All information in the context of this competition is provided exclusively by the organizer.

2. participation

2.1 Any natural person of at least 18 years of age is eligible to participate in their own name.

2.2 Minors under the age of 16 and legally incompetent persons are excluded from participation.

2.3 The organizer reserves the right to exclude persons from participation who violate these conditions of participation or who gain or seek to gain an advantage over other participants by unduly influencing or manipulating the competition. In such cases, the organizer may also subsequently exclude participants from the competition, revoke prizes and reclaim them.

2.4 Participation is only possible within the period specified in the competition description. Each participant may only take part in an identical competition once.

2.5 Employees of the competition organizer as well as employees of the companies involved in this competition and their direct relatives are excluded from participation in the competition.

3. how it works: Carrying out the competition

  • Full participation in the e-cycling race "3RIDES Ardenne Classics" with placement in the tableau.
  • Willingness to participate in the UCI Gravel Race on May 12, 2024 at 3RIDES Aachen.
  • Willingness to take part in the UCI Gravel Race on May 12, 2024 as a Continental Ambassador.
  • Medical fitness to participate in both the E-Races and the UCI Gravel Race has been confirmed by a doctor.
  • Media coverage on 12 May 2024 by the organizer.

If further requirements are necessary to take part in the competition, this will be communicated directly when you take part in the competition. All participants in the competition who meet the requirements set out in sections 2 and 3 by the respective date of the draw will be considered.

3.2 The mechanism of the competition is as follows:

  • Several e-cycling races will take place in March, which will be declared for participation in the competition with a specific date directly at the participation opportunity.
  • A total of three e-cycling races will take place.
  • Two winners will be drawn at each of the e-cycling races, one female winner and one male winner.
  • Each participant can take part several times, but can only win once.
  • In each e-cycling race, the first man in the tableau and the first woman in the tableau win.

If other parameters are relevant for the mechanism of the competition, these will be communicated directly when you take part in the competition. The competition will be held during the period specified there.

The winners will be selected from the participants immediately after the end of the entry period. If a winner does not meet the organizer's requirements, the organizer has the right to choose a new winner.

3.2 A change or cash payment of the prize is excluded. The prize is not transferable.

4.1. Profit

The winners will ride as Continental Ambassadors in the 3RIDES UCI Gravel Race on May 12, 2024 in Aachen.

The prize includes a free start for participation in the 3RIDES UCI Gravel Race on May 12, 2024 in Aachen.

The prize also includes a set of Continental coats to be used during the UCI Gravel race. The winners will also receive a Continental kit in the form of a jersey and bib shorts. The clothing must be worn during the race in order to be visible as an ambassador.

4. profit processing

4.1 The winner will be notified by e-mail or electronically by the organizer. With regard to the prize, each participant notified in this way is obliged to inform the organizer within one month of the notification being sent whether they accept the prize. If the organizer does not receive a corresponding message within this period, the possibility of accepting the prize expires and the organizer reserves the right to determine another winner from the participants and to notify them accordingly.

4.2 If the contact details provided by the participant are incorrect (e.g. e-mail address), the organizer is not obliged to determine the correct data. Any disadvantages resulting from the provision of incorrect contact details (e.g. incorrect e-mail address) shall be borne by the participant.

5. liability for defects

The organizer shall only be liable for damages incurred by the winner due to material defects and/or defects of title in the event of malice, intent or gross negligence. Otherwise, liability for material defects and/or defects of title is excluded.

6. premature termination, adjustment or modification of the competition

The organizer is entitled to terminate, adapt or modify the competition prematurely at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons if the proper execution of the competition cannot be guaranteed without appropriate measures for technical or legal reasons.

7. exclusion from participation

Participation via automated procedures or other manipulations or attempts to do so (including by third parties) is not permitted, nor is any breach of the conditions of participation or any attempt to do so.

The organizer has the right, for example in the aforementioned cases or in the event of suspicion to this effect, to exclude a participant from the competition, to subsequently disallow or reclaim prizes.

8 Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply to all legal relationships between the parties. In the case of consumers, this choice of law only applies insofar as the protection granted is not withdrawn by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which the consumer has his habitual residence.

9. data protection

The organizer, who is responsible for the processing of the data, processes the data provided by the participants (title, surname, first name, e-mail address, address) in accordance with the provisions of the applicable data protection law (GDPR, BDSG (2018)).

Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the competition (Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR) and for the sending of advertising by e-mail Art.6 (1) a) GDPR) to you.
